In 1950s Paris, neighbors Rodolfo and Mimi meet when Mimi’s candle goes out on a cold, dark night and instantly fall in love despite post‑war hardships. Rodolfo brings her to Café Momus, where his friends—Marcello and his lover Musetta, Colline and Schaunard—join them. Later, Mimi, upset by Rodolfo’s jealousy, tells Marcello; when Marcello confronts Rodolfo, she overhears the true cause of his behavior.
