In modern‑day Paris a literary professor and his clandestine romance with a mathematics teacher intersect with an aspiring actress and a struggling young singer, all trying to break through a cynical entertainment industry. While the professor battles writer’s block on his second novel and a self‑critical student, the singer‑songwriter Cora takes a low‑paid steakhouse job, clinging to outdated songwriters and risking her career.
