Former sailor Fikret struggles to adapt to life in Istanbul and takes refuge in a local church. While priest Artin is away in the Vatican, Fikret sells the church’s fine wines, sleeps in the priest’s quarters, and gambles on horse races. He mentors Asim, a naïve car‑wash boy who sees him as a father figure. The pair become entangled with wealthy widow Deniz, who believes her sister Selen is cursed and will pay to lift it. Disguised as a priest, Fikret infiltrates Deniz’s home, where unexpected complications arise.
