Set in the late‑19th‑century Joseon Dynasty, the kingdom is crippled by famine and the tyrannical Kim family. Choi Chon‑joong, the realm’s greatest fortune‑teller and physiognomist, vows revenge after his loved ones fall victim to the Kims. He identifies Lee Ha‑eung, a modest royal, as the key to restoring power and backs his claim to the throne. The Kims counter by exploiting Bong‑ryun, the king’s daughter who possesses psychometric abilities, to locate the true heir. Amid shifting alliances, Chon‑joong strives to forge a new era for Chosun.
