An inept, easily‑distracted French postman constantly pauses his rounds to chat with villagers and inspect the traveling fair that arrives in his tiny town. After drinking too much wine and seeing a newsreel about the ultra‑fast U.S. postal system, he launches absurd schemes to speed his bicycle‑based mail deliveries, resulting in comic mishaps.
