This documentary explores the complex and often fraught relationship between Christianity and American nationalism, examining how it has historically led to violence. The film traces the use of Christian faith by political entities, starting with its adoption as the official religion of the Roman Empire. Through interviews with scholars, pastors, historians, and activists, the film reveals how certain interpretations of the Bible have blurred the lines between religious devotion and national allegiance, with significant consequences.
