In this Amicus retelling of the Jekyll‑Hyde story, Christopher Lee plays Dr. Marlowe, a surgeon who injects experimental intravenous drugs meant to release his inner inhibitions. The serum unleashes his monstrous alter ego, Mr. Blake (also Lee), who grows savage with each transformation. Peter Cushing appears as his friend and colleague, Dr. Utterson.
