Using only original colour footage, the documentary traces the twelve years from Adolf Hitler’s rise to power through the fall of Berlin in 1945. Eyewitness testimony accompanies scenes of Germany’s turn into a Nazi state, Hitler’s relationship with Eva Braun, and reenactments of Nazi rallies, the invasion of Poland, his meeting with Lloyd George, the horrors of Buchenwald, the Warsaw Ghetto, the Battle of Britain and Berlin’s fall.
