Jessica abandons her privileged life to adopt a working‑class persona, where she falls for blue‑collar Chet. Chet grows suspicious after seeing secret meetings between Jessica, her wealthy father and his chauffeur, fearing she’s maintaining a “sugar‑daddy.” A web of financial schemes, misunderstandings and coincidences leads to a wedding that unfolds very differently than expected.
