A young, idealistic lawyer sees her belief in the justice system shattered after she fails to stop a rapist from being released. Her disillusionment deepens when her next case spirals out of control, her corrupt boss is slain by angry gangster clients, and a gun‑wielding intruder bursts into the office, killing the men. She narrowly escapes death.
