Set against a fog‑filled railway station and filmed in stark black‑and‑white, Richard Kwietniowski reimagines David Lean’s poised romance Brief Encounter as a witty, contemporary melodrama. The story swaps the original’s Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard for two strikingly handsome young men, preserving the bittersweet tension while updating the tone for modern audiences.
