Necla and Şaban Ali both work in a factory until they lose their jobs after demanding a raise. Struggling to find employment, Necla claims women have an easier time getting work and bets Şaban that she will. She soon lands a secretarial position, reversing their household roles: Necla becomes the main earner while Şaban handles domestic duties. The shift leaves both uneasy, especially as Necla’s long hours strain their relationship.
