The film follows three screenwriters as they labor over spec scripts, pitch nonstop, attend meetings, stage reads and juggle day jobs, hoping their work becomes a movie. A “Greek Chorus” of industry legends—James L. Brooks, Nora Ephron, Gary Ross and Carrie Fisher—offers a witty look at ambition, creativity and the solitude of film business.
