Over 80 million years ago, the bird‑like Oviraptor prowled the sandy banks of an oasis in what is now Mongolia’s Gobi Desert. About eight feet long, its razor‑sharpened claws defended its young from constant threats. Today, a bold team of scientists unearths a rich fossil trove, overturning long‑standing ideas about the dinosaur’s behavior.
