Following the tradition of classic EC horror comics, this cautionary tale tells the story through Death’s perspective. An impatient single mother mistakes the cloaked, scythe‑wielding figure for her late babysitter, inadvertently leaving Death to look after her witty nine‑year‑old daughter. The mistake derails Death’s duties, forcing the grim reaper to manage household chaos while the precocious child proves both a nuisance and an unexpected source of wisdom.
