Carlo Monti, illegitimate son of a film director, is determined to uncover the mystery of his mother’s death in a strange car accident years ago. Believing his father was involved, he tracks down his former home and meets Emma, a glamorous young woman who claims to be his sister. Attracted to her, Carlo soon realizes their relationship pulls him into a dangerous, secretive affair.
