During a sweltering summer in the Swiss countryside, a heatwave accelerates the drying of the land. Thirteen-year-old Gus, a farmer's son, witnesses the unraveling of his family's life and the loss of his childhood innocence. The stifling heat mirrors a sense of impending change and the end of an era, as Gus grapples with a world in transition.
