On the day legendary actor Jean Gabin dies, a kidnapper who steals a cache of Cartier jewels also murders Simon Verini’s wife. Framed for the theft, Simon endures ten years in prison, corresponding with his eleven‑year‑old daughter Marie‑Sophie. Upon release he reunites with her and the youthful gang that originally fenced the gems, seeking revenge, but is quickly re‑arrested. Marie‑Sophie, unsure of her father’s true nature, turns to her Swiss fiancé and is bewildered when one of the thieves falls for her, leaving everyone to wonder if any resolution is possible when crime entangles family and romance.
