Set on a remote farm on Iceland’s rugged west coast in late summer 1936, the film follows young Hrefna, whose grandmother’s stories spark a vivid imagination. As she blends present life with distant history, she mentally journeys back to the tumultuous 14th century, confronting the myths and realities of her ancestors.
