Inspector Clouseau and Sergeant Deux‑Deux chase a stolen banana shipment to a rundown waterfront flat, following banana peels to a tiny Cockney sailor’s home with an impish ape. Clouseau, unaware of the ape, thinks the sailor is punching him. When he watches Deux‑Deux easily subdue the sailor, he mistakenly hails the sergeant a powerhouse and a hero.
