Sister Angèle, a twenty‑one‑year‑old nun, sells the honey produced by her convent at the local market. Secretly she meets a young man named Paolo at a beach bungalow and visits patients in a hospital, where she befriends a terminally ill Spanish woman, Rosa Maria Dolorès. These encounters force Angèle to confront herself and listen to the beating of her heart.
