Maria, a student in Essen, works in a bleak world. She easily finds one‑night partners but rebuffs them, masking her borderline personality disorder that prevents a stable sense of self. Jan, a fellow student, falls for her and must stay loyal to someone who feels a “different world inside her head” and something inside “eats me up.”
