Executive George Dupler loses his temper and is demoted to night manager at a 24‑hour drugstore. He urges his teenage son Freddie to end an affair with distant cousin Cheryl Gibbons, a suburban housewife. Cheryl, however, tries to seduce George. When Freddie catches Cheryl serving George a midnight meal, he accuses his father of stealing his girl.
