On the day they wed, Jean’s wife collapses during surgery from an unexplained illness and dies. Devastated, Jean quits his medical studies and retreats into memories of their courtship. Meanwhile a series of murders terrorizes the city: each victim is a surgical student whose hands have been gruesomely amputated, suggesting a chilling connection.
