Chang-sik, a retired man, cares for his wife, Gilsoon, with the assistance of Soo-ok, an undocumented immigrant. When Gilsoon develops a persistent bedsore that won't heal, Chang-sik grows suspicious of Soo-ok's behavior, noticing she takes weekend time off. He discovers Soo-ok is attempting to obtain a visa through a false marriage. In a surprising turn, Chang-sik proposes they enter into a sham marriage themselves, leading to complex and unexpected consequences.
