After the Vietnam War, former soldier Nguyen Dich (Chow Yun‑Fat) arrives in Hong Kong and works as a contract killer for a gang boss. He meets Vicky Lee (Rosamund Kwan) and falls in love, but his superiors order him to kill her father.
