Jezebel is a mountain woman who has romantic involvement with Sheriff John Jensen. When Lorna arrives and draws the sheriff's attention, Jezebel becomes violently jealous and views Lorna as a threat to her relationship. This motivates her to eliminate the celebrity through lethal means.

The youngest orphan proclaims Lorna is "the Angel" upon first seeing her, drawing a direct parallel to the Snow White fairy tale where the character discovers a sleeping woman in bed.
