This documentary explores the life and artistic legacy of actor and director Zbigniew Ziembinski, known as Zimba (1908-1978). A pioneer of modern theater in Latin America and influential mentor to Brazilian actors, the film draws on extensive, previously unseen performance footage, television appearances, and interviews. It recounts his journey, from fleeing Poland before the invasion of Warsaw to his significant contributions to Brazilian theater, including a revolutionary adaptation of Nelson Rodrigues’s play, Wedding Dress, in 1943.
