In 1930, septuagenarian Louis Martinet is told by his doctor Leon Galipeau that he has little time left. Galipeau, eyeing Martinet’s modest Saint‑Tropez house, convinces him to transfer it to the doctor’s brother, Emile. Martinet’s health rebounds, he survives the war and thwarts the scheme, prompting Galipeau to take desperate measures against him.
