University student Ryoichi Yoshimori is deeply in love with his girlfriend, Kyoko Sawada, despite their age difference. After a proposal, Kyoko vanishes without a trace. She reappears days later, claiming to have no recollection of him or their relationship. Determined to discover the truth, Ryoichi seeks help from a classmate and lawyer, Chiaki Takaharu, and his childhood friend, Maki Kawai, as they investigate rumors of a mysterious individual known as Kiokuya, who is said to erase memories.
