Rember Yahuarcani, an indigenous artist from the Uitoto Nation living in Lima, Peru, is guided by his grandmother Martha's stories and dreams. Martha, a survivor of the devastating indigenous massacre during the rubber boom, urges him on a spiritual journey back to his ancestral lands. He begins by visiting his artist parents in the Peruvian jungle, then travels to La Chorrera, Colombia. There, he confronts the painful history of his people and connects with remaining members of the White Heron clan, one of only two families left from his nation.
